We’re all in this together.

Holy cats. Has it really been that long since I’ve written?

Well that’s not good. I need to do this a lot more often. But in my defense, I have been busy.

For the last several weeks, I’ve been relatively scarce… and now you can find out why. Our team has been working on a huge project, and now we need YOUR help to take it to the next step.

We want to welcome you to the Wirewaves Community Network project. We call it Omniopolis!

It’s an online productivity portal and community where even the smallest town has a voice. Literally. Every town from Visalia, California to Gas, Kansas has its own portal. (Thus the name: “Omni” and “Polis” literally translates from the Greek as “All Cities.”)

We are now in Private Beta launch and as a reader of my blog, you are invited to see it here:

In our Beta Test we have four initial tools…

The File Harmonic is an easy to use system for organizing files and papers. Locate any document in your filing cabinet using our online database. Our innovative system is an easy to use solution for lost papers. Organize paperwork. Keep track of files. Gain control of your office.

The Northchurch Alert System… Named in honor of one of the most famous and pivotal alert systems in American History, the “Midnight Ride” of Paul Revere (and William Dawes and Dr. Samuel Prescott). And like the Minutemen of old, the power is in the hands of the people! Sign up to send text and email alerts for your business or club or receive them from participating groups in your community. For FREE!

Wirewaves Private Branded Radio Stations: Imagine a radio show like NPR’s “All Things Considered”, professionally recorded and produced with interviews and testimonials, playing dynamically on your website to promote your product, service, or message. It’s never the same stream twice! It’s more than just Audio. It’s Radio.

And our pièce de résistance: TruLocal Online Classifieds. (Keep Reading, faithful blogophile!)

At this stage in our development we need your help. We’ve tested as much as we can internally. Now we’re ready to test publicly, but we can’t do it without you.

We need you to sign up for an Omniopolis account and begin posting your Free ads in our Trulocal Classifieds system. (Think of it like that certain classified ad website that “Weird Al” Yankovic sang about last year… but on steroids. It’s ridiculously robust and impressive as all get out!)

During this initial, critical phase you’re encouraged to post as many classified ads as you want, either in your local area or nationally, without a high expectation of results.

This all-free period is expected to last four to six weeks, but any classified ad you post will run at no cost to you — even national ads extended to a full year.

We also want to know what you think of Omniopolis. There’s a contact form on the site. Please feel free to make a comment or a suggestion. We might use your comments on our site or on our Internet station, Omniopolis Radio.

You can listen to our radio feed to find out much more about the Omniopolis project.

Be sure and watch our home page video and the video about our Trulocal Classifieds. They’re both fun to watch and will tell you how the system works. And you just might recognize a few people in particular!

Thanks for helping us during our Beta launch and have fun posting your ads!

My apologies to my friends outside of the United States… right now our truLocal Classifieds project is set up for the USA Only… (Baby steps. It’s only a matter of time. LOL!)

ALSO: If you are a photographer, you can get a chance to have your work seen throughout the US as part of our portal header program! Ask me how!

Questions? Drop me a note and I’ll answer them to the best of my ability.

Thanks everyone!

And next time, I’ll try not to plug so much.
